Reduction in personal emoluments due to Sanitary Inspectors being paid from medical vote and transfer of rent allowance to miscellaneous vote. Increase in other charges due to extremely heavy increase in cost of materials for uniforms, increased cost of conservancy, scavenging gear, running expenses of motor transport, etc, Special expenditure includes 1,000,000 for scavenging vehicles, meat and water wagons, etc.

Other charges include 5,000,000 for unallocated stores and 2,000,000 for manufacture of furniture for Goverment offices and quarters.

Increase in other charges due to rent of offices and expenses of London Accounts Office.
Public Works Department Extraordinary
Includes 3,750,000 in respect of reconstruction of Government buildings, 1,000,000 for repairs to sea wall, ferry pier, etc,, 1,000,000 for filling tunnel, 1,750,000 for drainage works including anti-malerial drainage, 2,500,000 in respect of roads and bridges and street lighting, over 3,500,000 for waterworks, 2,000,000 for purchase of motor transport.
Development of Secretariat and Sub-Departments.
Absorbs late Botanic and Forestry and Fishery Research Departments and provides for greatly increased services on agriculture, fisheries and forestry.
